Before you can create a new location Scheduler, you will need to create a new practice location and then grant users access to that new location. For more information, check out Administration: Creating a Separate Practice Location.
Creating a Separate Location Scheduler
1. When creating new Resources (columns): use the instructions in the link below, and keep the following important pro tips in mind:
Scheduler: Customization Part 2 of 5 (Columns)
- Pro Tip: If you wish to have identical schedule columns displayed for multiple practice locations, it is recommended to create separate resources (columns) and assign them to the appropriate locations. (Example: If a column labeled Exam Room 1 or Dr. Nilpferd is assigned to display at Animal Cove Vet Clinic- North, there will need to be an additional Exam Room 1 or Dr. Nilpferd column created and assigned to Animal Cove Vet Clinic- South).
- Pro Tip: The system will display all columns assigned to specific users at the same time. For example, if you have a column at each location assigned to Dr. Nilpferd, you will see both displayed on the scheduler.
If you wish to keep the schedulers separated by practice location, it is recommended to create a "fake" user for each location that will act as a scheduler placeholder. (Example: At Animal Cove Vet Clinic- North, there is a "fake" user named ACVC North, and at Animal Cove Vet Clinic South, there is a "fake" user named ACVC- South. For assistance with creating new users, check out Administration: Creating New Users).
- Pro Tip: When using separate schedulers for each location as described above, the appointment description field can be used to identify the associated doctor. You can easily see this information by hovering over the appointment on the scheduler.
2. When creating new Event Types (categories): use the instructions in the link below, and keep the following important pro tips in mind:
Scheduler: Customization Part 3 of 5 (Appointment Types)
- Pro Tip: If you wish to have identical appointment categories displayed at multiple practice locations, you can use the same options that are already displayed. (Example: Animal Cove Vet Clinic- North and South both use the Illness category for their illness-related events, so there's only one entry needed).
3. When creating new Events (templates): use the instructions in the link below, and keep the following important pro tips in mind:
Scheduler: Customization Part 4 of 5 (Appointment Templates)
- Pro Tip: If you wish to have identical appointment templates displayed at multiple practice locations, you can always create new entries to keep them separate. Alternatively, you can use the same options that are already displayed, and you will need to select the column for the new scheduler location from the list. (Example: Animal Cove Vet Clinic- North and South both use the Annual Visit template, so both locations use this same template).
Helpful Tip:
If you wish to alter the start time, end time, or appointment timeslot durations, it's recommended to log in under the respective practice location, and then use the instructions in the link below:
