Chart templates are designed to save a user documentation time during appointments. These templates can be made in a few different ways which are outlined in the examples below. For more information about creating templates, check out Management: Creating and Editing Chart Templates.
Fill-In-The-Blank Templates
1. Once you've opened a chart note, selecting a SOAP or Note section will expose Chart Templates along the right side of the page.
- Important Note: If you don't see a Chart Template section when you select a text field, you may need to click the pushpin icon in the top right corner of the note.
2. In this example, the practice has its templates separated by folders and subfolders for added organization, and selecting the arrow to the left of the folder will expose what's available in that folder.
3. Select the folder or individual template you wish to populate, and then you will be prompted to include or exclude tags.

Select/Insert Templates

Setting Template Favorites
To assign frequently used templates to your Favorites, select the Star to the left of the template. The templates that have been marked as Favorites will be available in the Favorites section on the right side of your page.
Helpful Tip
If you have multiple locations, you’ll be able to access and use any chart template you create at all your locations.
