The Whiteboard is a helpful tool for tracking a patient’s visit within the hospital. Treatment sheets are an added resource within the Whiteboard that allows one to add items, services, or treatments to a list for completion. Once a treatment is completed, it will record notes on the chart note and the invoice automatically.
Where to Find The Whiteboard Treatment Sheets?
1. Go to the Whiteboard widget which can be found within the Choose Action, Scheduler, or Patient Tab.
2. Click on the patient’s name once to highlight it, then towards the bottom of this screen, click on the Treatment Sheets button in the lower right corner of the Whiteboard.
3. You will then be directed to the treatment sheet for that patient where you can add new treatments using the (+) in the upper right corner, or update existing treatments using the controls in the lower right corner of that screen.

1. Follow the steps above to access the Treatment Sheet for the desired patient. Once in that patient’s treatment sheet, click the (+) in the upper right corner to add a new one.
2. From this screen, if the item is a non-invoiced item or service, use the Treatment Name field. For example, a Post-Op TPR is an excellent use case for this section.
3. If this is an invoiced item or service, use the Items: field and select from the dropdown, followed by the appropriate quantity.
4. Assign To: should be the user in which you want to complete this treatment.
5. Due Date: & Time: should be the date and time you wish to have this treatment completed by.
6. Chart to Add To: When the treatment is completed, any notes will automatically be added to the select chart within this section.
7. Recurring Period: If this item or service needs to be repeated, select the desired duration from the dropdown.
8. Click Ok when finished, and the system will return to the main Treatment Sheet page.
9. To add another treatment, complete steps 1-8 until all desired treatments are added.
10. Then click Cancel to return back to the Whiteboard.
11. Within the Whiteboard, for that patient, you will now see a number within the Count section towards the right side of the screen reflecting the number of treatments you just added. For example, 0/4 indicates that of the 4 added treatments, 0 have been completed.
You also have the ability to add treatments to the Scheduler templates, so that when a patient is checked in, those assigned treatments will automatically appear on the whiteboard, ready for completion. This feature is especially helpful for routine appointments such as annual vaccines or surgical procedures.
