Processing a Return and Issuing a Refund
1. Once the patient is displayed in the Patient Reserve, click the Checkout tab to view the Sales Register.
2. In the Item field at the top, type the name of the item you wish to return, and select it from the dropdown menu. Within the Quantity field, type a negative followed by the number of items you wish to return.
- For example, if the owner is returning 2 bags of dog treats, the Quantity field should say -2.
Important Note: The negative quantity must be done before you click Add Item. This is what tells the system this is a return mode.
3. Within the payment information section on the right side of the Sales Register screen, select Dispense Change.
4. A slideout menu will appear asking to confirm the dispensation amount. Click Dispense Change.
5. When you've returned back to the Sales Register and the amount Due says $0.00, click Complete Invoice to generate a receipt.
